The Erasmus student spent one semester at the Johannes Kepler University. “I never thought that an Erasmus semester could change my life so much afterwards,” writes the Hungarian in her report, in which she records her “JKU experience”. “I had the chance not only to meet new people, but also to make friends.”

With the Astros women’s team, Bori was recently in the play-off of the Austrian College Sports League, ACSL for short.

Return soon

Even though her Erasmus stay has already ended, Borbala Szakaly is returning to Austria for the game. “It’s just heartwarming to celebrate with our Astros and the whole fan base after a win,” she says. Nothing brings people together better than sport. After the play-off, however, it’s over.

“But I hope to stay in touch with all the international friends I’ve made here for the rest of my life. I’ll show my gratitude for all the love, appreciation, kindness and opportunities in Linz.” A promise that she will keep, Szakaly is sure.

The basketball colleagues of the Astros women’s team also hope that the Hungarian will throw one basket after the other – for a last joint victory for the Astros.
