Springtime at the Ried trade fair: Enjoyment is a top priority

Pleasure is not neglected at the Rieder trade fair spring. Not only because at the “Marketplace of Pleasures” Upper Austria’s pleasure country focuses on regional delicacies. Cooking shows are also intended to contribute to this: They are one of the highlights at the Spring Fair on March 11th and 12th with the three main areas Bon appetit, 50 Plus and Family happiness.

Three female chefs and three Innviertel award-winning chefs give an insight into their culinary creativity and cook live in front of an audience. If you want more: The recipes for the dishes are available for download at www.messefruehling-ried.at

Austrian winegrowers are represented in the wine lounge (open until 9 p.m. on Saturdays), and beer and spirits specialties (including from the Ried brewery, the Brau Union and the “Zum Alfons” brewery in Rutzenham) can also be tasted.

Bicycle test course

The 50 Plus trade fair offers the opportunity to find out about travel, wellness, health, cosmetics and living, among other things. Various health checks are also possible. There will be a wide variety of information events on the lecture and entertainment stage presented by the OÖ Nachrichten, including on Saturday, March 11, the Ski World Cup skier and two-time Olympic medalist Katharina Gallhuber will report on her path to a comeback after her injury (2 p.m., Hall 18). There is also a supervised bicycle course with the opportunity to test and practice on/with bicycles.

More than 500 board games can be tested at the Innviertel Game Days, pedagogues give advice. In addition, concerts by Mai Cocobelli (Saturday, 4 p.m.) and Bluatschink (Sunday, 4 p.m.) are on the program as part of the Familienglück trade fair.

Sunday, March 12th, from 10.30 a.m. every hour: Florian Schlöglmann (Wirt z’Kraxenberg); Peter Reithmayr (aquarium); Viktoria Stranzinger (Cook up Kitchen); Josef Stockl, Raffael Schnell.
