A Carinthian school was again evacuated early Thursday morning due to a bomb threat. This time the teacher training college in Klagenfurt was affected. 1,500 to 1,800 people had to leave the building complex. The police searched all the premises but found no suspicious objects and the lockdown was lifted shortly after 11am.

The director reported shortly after 9 a.m. that a bomb threat written on the wall had been found in a women’s toilet. The police search operation was carried out in the morning. Among others, the special unit Cobra, service dogs and explosives experts were involved. The streets around the teacher training college were cordoned off over a large area, said police spokesman Mario Nemetz, who was at the scene, to the APA.

The vocational school in St. Veit an der Glan was evacuated on Tuesday due to a bomb threat. A student had found a note with a threat and a bottle with an initially unknown liquid in a women’s toilet there. Nothing was found during a search of the premises, and school operations were resumed after about two hours.
