On Friday at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 2 and ZDF, the new season of the Munich crime classic “Der Alte” starts, in which Jan-Gregor Kremp gives two more episodes to the old “Alter” before Thomas Heinze takes over as the new “Alter”. A somewhat complicated start to the season. Kremp is a gloomy inspector who doesn’t grin for the entire 58 minutes and who is plagued by health problems (probably in wise anticipation of the imminent end of the film).
In general, the opening episode is a little dark. Influencer Jasmin Benrath is found dead in the pool. She didn’t die a natural death – but who was it? In addition, the young woman had almost drowned in the Isar a few months earlier. The murder investigation drags on, thank goodness Stephanie Stumph as investigator Annabell Lorenz brings momentum to the action. The finale is surprising but not very believable. Heinze, take over!
