A little carelessness had serious consequences for a 20-year-old from the Vöcklabruck district on Thursday morning: the man was working on the upper floor of a barn at around 11:45 a.m. on a farm in the Schärding district when he slipped and climbed up from a height of around five meters fell down the concrete floor.
His co-worker, who was working further away on the farm, heard the cries for help and set the rescue chain in motion. According to the police, the worker sustained such serious injuries in the fall that he had to be treated by the emergency doctor and taken to the UKH in Linz by helicopter.
