At the constitutive meeting on Wednesday, the 54-year-old entrepreneur from Linz was unanimously elected Grubauer’s successor. His deputy is the hotel manager Lisa Sigl.

Recknagl will be in charge of Linz Tourism together with the new Tourism Director Marie-Louise Schnurpfeil. As reported, Schnur Pfeil replaces long-time director Georg Steiner, who has retired.

With Grubauer, his deputy Klaus Pippig and Johann Kaiser from the Linz Tourist Association also said goodbye. In order to ensure an orderly handover, three new members of the Supervisory Board, Dieter Recknagl, Lisa Sigl and Michael Mayerhofer, were co-opted last summer. This allowed them to familiarize themselves with the topic.

The General Assembly met on Wednesday. The approximately 3,000 member companies of the Linz Tourist Association were invited. The new supervisory board of Linz Tourismus consists of Recknagl, Sigl, restaurateur Anton Gallistl, jeweler Michael Mayrhofer, Petra Riffert (Advertising Association Danube), Thomas Ziegler (Design Center), City Councilor Doris Lang-Mayerhofer and Head of Upper Austria Tourism Andreas Winkelhofer.
