Around 30 climate protectors had gathered there to demand measures against climate change from the state government. The country’s climate and energy strategy has a catchy name, but the activists complain that no real goals can be identified.
They spoke out against the natural gas drilling in Molln. Instead, renewable energy and wind turbines must be used in order to still achieve the climate goals. As a federal state with the highest emissions in Austria as a whole, Upper Austria is particularly challenged.
