Taking a trip around the world without having to pack your bags and without having to walk many steps – this is the “service” offered by the organizers of the European Street Food Festival. With the beginning of the warmer season, they are on the road again to bring culinary delights from all over the world to people. They will start off on March 25th and 26th in Asten. Then “Europe’s largest mobile restaurant” opens its wagons and stands on the market square. The only drop of bitterness: the weather forecast is less spring-like than in the past few days.
“Enjoyment from all over the world”, the subtitle of the Street Food Festival, can be taken literally. Visitors can taste starters, soups, snacks, snacks and also main dishes or desserts, from common delicacies to unusual creations and exotic delicacies, with free admission as they “stroll past”. Everything is prepared at the food stands, trailers and trucks, of course fresh on site, as Jochen Auer, the man behind the festival for two decades, says. The Street Food Festival is open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
