Neighbors of the farm owner caught the trio in the act around 4:20 p.m. They were able to observe how the three strangers stole a chainsaw and petrol cans from a garage. The witnesses alerted the owner, who confronted the sneak thieves. One of the three dropped the petrol can and ran away with the chainsaw, the police report.

The other two – a 27-year-old Pole and his 22-year-old compatriot – were stopped by the homeowner until the police arrived. After the arrest, the young man and the young woman were interrogated and reported at large. “The search for the third person was negative,” said the police on Sunday morning.
