The 115 fire brigades in the Vöcklabruck district had to process 5,185 missions last year. That’s an average of 14 trips a day. This was reported by district fire brigade commander Wolfgang Hufnagl at the district fire brigade conference in the Kultursaal Lenzing.

District Governor Johannes Beer, member of the state parliament Doris Margreiter, fire chief Robert Mayer and state councilor Michaela Langer-Weninger emphasized in their speeches the work in the district fire brigade command, the fire brigades and the good cooperation with the emergency services.

Numerous awards and honors were also presented. 14 judges’ merit badges in bronze, silver and gold were handed over, seven comrades were awarded district medals in the individual levels. Two FF men received the ÖBFV-Merit Sign 3rd level. Helmut Kühberger was awarded the Upper Austrian Fire Service Cross of Merit, 3rd level, Harald Schoblocher was awarded the Florian Medal of the Upper Austrian State Fire Brigade Association, 2nd level, Alois Schirl was awarded the ÖBFV Cross of Merit, 2nd level, and Gerhard Gehmayr received the Upper Austria Fire Brigade Cross of Merit, 2nd level excellent. From the regional association, Hannes Niedermayr received the Florian Medal, 1st level, Alois Doninger, the ÖBFV Medal of Merit, 2nd level, and Wolfgang Hufnagl, the ÖBFV Medal of Merit, 1st level.
