Nursing home process in St. Pölten: three guilty verdicts

The 46-year-old first accused received 30 months, 20 of which were conditional. The 36-year-old was sentenced to 24 months, 16 of which were suspended. The 33-year-old received 21 months, 14 of which were conditional. The 39-year-old was acquitted. The judgments of the St. Pölten Regional Court are not final.

Three defendants were found guilty of administering heavily sedating drugs to residents without medical indication. They were convicted of continued violence by imprisonment. The first accused was also found guilty of torturing and neglecting defenseless people.

The allegations of sexual abuse and some of the alleged crimes were acquitted in cases of doubt. The private parties were referred to civil law with their claims. The indictment related to the crime period from March 2020 to March 2021. The accused had denied the allegations.
