The project is part of the agreement that the government signed in February 2021 with the Belgian multinational Katoen Natie —majority shareholder of TCP, with 80% of the participation; the remaining 20% ​​belongs to the State through ANP—, which extended the concession of the terminal until 2081; and consists of expanding the Specialized Container Terminal to a capacity that will allow it to operate 3 million containers export, import and merchandise transits per year.
