He Ministry of Industry, Energy and Miningwith the initiative of the National Directorate of Industries (DNI) presented the call for the Industrial Fund where purely industrial companies may apply to obtain up to 2.3 million pesos.

The National Director of Industries, Susana Pecoyexpressed that the call is open to all those purely industrial companies and that it has the objective of benefiting the development of extensionsimprove the productive activity or the product, as well as for streamline processes.


The project consists of a total of 23 million pesos and, according to the Director of Industries, a 3 million increase compared to the budget amount of the year 2022. “We had a budget reinforcement which allows us to expand the margin of the DNI funds this year”, explained Pecoy who added that this fund “is the most important of the management”.
The application period began on March 31 and will end on August 2. The application is made through the official website of MIEM, where there will also be the opportunity for companies to participate in virtual workshops with representatives of the management to clear up doubts about the substance.
Which are the requirements?
To apply, it is necessary that the companies are merely industrial and the sectors of electronics and robotics, design, and biotechnologybecause they have their own funds that will be launched soon.
On the other hand, it is necessary that companies have, at least, one year of incorporation and that they are micro, small or medium. In addition, they must have the code number of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (CIU). As well as being able to pay the counterpart, 50% of the total amount of the project, because the fund can pay up to the other 50% of the project postulated.
