What products will be missing from the gondolas?

Following a no-deal bipartisan meeting on Monday, the Conaprole union published a list of products that could be in short supply.

The Association of Workers and Employees of Conaprole (AOEC) resolved to work by regulation since yesterday and again published a statement with the list of products that would be scarce in the gondolas due to the force measures implemented, which will increase as time goes by and Conaprole do not provide a solution to the union.

The union conflict between Conaprole and AOEC continues without being resolved and the measures of force are increasingly forceful on the part of the union that as of yesterday began with work to regulations, assemblies in all the plants and strikes of two hours per shift . Added to this is the fact that on Wednesday the 17th there will be a Extraordinary general assembly that could imply greater measures of force.

According to the AOEC statement, the products that will be in short supply on the gondolas are Yogurts, desserts, flans, gelatin, Lactolate, half-life milk, Biotop, lactose-free, spreadable and melted cheeses, and sandwich cheeses.

However, the union reiterated its “commitment” to receive all the milk that the producers send these days, as well as to process the existing raw material to avoid losses in production and shortages of fresh milk for the population.

Conaprole does not give up

For his part, the company continues to insist that the union “is not telling the truth”. During the meeting on Monday, the Conaprole representatives defended the investment in a new milk bottling plant at the Rodríguez plant, and pointed out that “no jobs are affected, no labor rights are affected, and no regulatory framework is violated.” “. In this sense, the “peace clause” was not broken either, as the workers affirm; and the channels of dialogue were kept open.

“Once again, the union leadership seeks to impose a logic of permanent conflict in an unjustified and irresponsible manner, compromising the work of thousands of Uruguayans and the sustainability of the entire dairy chain,” the company concluded in a statement.
