The dialogue did not lead to a successful outcome in the supergas conflict, despite the fact that the proposal presented by the MTSS was accepted by the workers. Concern over bottle shortages
One consequence of the conflict in the supergas is the possible shortage of bottles together with the arrival of increasingly cold temperatures. “If temperatures start to drop, you can start to see shortages (of carafes). We hope we don’t get to that point,” Guichón explained in this regard.
That would take place in front of seasonal increase in demand, due to the need to heat the rooms with supergas; while, in parallel, the workers’ conflict with Acodike keeps the company’s operations to a minimum.
From Ancap, for their part, they continue to maintain that the responsibility lies with private companiessince the entity did not put any condition, or restriction, or any economic term that would change the equation of Riogas —who fired 26 workers and did not sit down to negotiate afterwards— and Acodike to make that decision. On the other hand, he highlighted that in the bidding the rental cost was free and that the companies that submitted bids for two floors and two different rental terms.
