Sanna Marin: Top politician divorced after three years of marriage

The 37-year-old social democrat and her long-term partner shared this in their stories on Instagram on Wednesday. Marin and Raikkonen got married in the summer of 2020 after being together for around 16 years. They met when they were 18-year-old students. They have a daughter together who is now five years old. They are grateful for 19 years together and their beloved daughter, they wrote. “We continue to be best friends, close and loving parents.”

Youngest prime minister in the world

Despite gains, Marin and her Social Democrats only came in third in the parliamentary elections in Finland at the beginning of April. Conservative victor Petteri Orpo is currently leading government negotiations to form a centre-right coalition. Marin will remain in office until the new government is formed. She came to power at the end of 2019 as the youngest prime minister in the world at the time.
