The car threw into a creek – the driver’s mother was trapped

The 53-year-old driver from Michaelnbach (district Grieskirchen) was driving his car at around 1.35 p.m. together with his 75-year-old mother on the L525 in the direction of Grieskirchen. For reasons that are not yet known, the car skidded at the entrance to Tollet. The man reflexively applied the handbrake, causing the car to turn 180 degrees. Eventually, the car reversed off the roadway and landed sideways in a creek. While the driver was able to get out of the car on his own, his mother had to be rescued by the fire department. The woman was seriously injured and, after first aid, was flown to the Wels clinic with the “Christophorus 10” rescue helicopter. Her son was slightly injured and taken to the Grieskirchen Clinic.
