In the Pichler municipal council, it was decided with a large majority that e-car sharing with the Mobilcard will be offered from autumn.

Environmental Committee Chairman Martin Schönmayr (Greens) is convinced: “As far as mobility solutions are concerned, there has been a rethink in recent years. It is no longer absolutely necessary for everyone to own a car in order to be able to do daily tasks.” This is exactly where the e-car sharing concept comes into play. The purchase and running costs for your own car would be saved and the environment protected at the same time. “In this way, you don’t have to buy an expensive second car that just sits around most of the time, but instead shares a car with others.” With the Mobilcard, the municipality has brought the oldest and most experienced e-car sharing in Upper Austria to the municipality and is thus close to the neighboring municipalities of Krenglbach and Bad Schallerbach in the area of public transport, says Mayor Franz Scheiböck (SP).

“Now it will soon be possible to use five e-car sharing vehicles under the umbrella of the Mobilcard at unbeatably low prices of just 90 cents an hour and 18 cents per km in the region, conveniently and in an environmentally friendly way,” says Norbert Rainer, Chairman of the mobile card. The mobility project has received many awards.
