The OPP will allocate $40 million pesos to promote productive projects of the municipalities

The Executive Branch seeks to generate employment and promote coordination between public and private actors throughout the national territory.

The Office of Planning and Budget (OPP) opened a call for the “Territorial Economic Development Initiatives Program” in search of financing with a total of 40 million pesos until 19 departmental projectsAnd till 60 led by municipalities.

The purpose of the dependency Executive power is to promote productive projects, and generate employment, favoring coordination between public and private actors throughout the national territory.

The maximum amount allocated will be 1.5 million pesos for project. Regarding those corresponding to municipalities, there will be a limit amount of 200,000 pesos for each one. All proposals must contemplate a counterpart from the local public actor, as well as a contribution from private actors.

The departmental governments will be able to present proposals from today Until 16 Juneand the municipalities Until July 17 °. This is the second edition of this program, and there are already ongoing projects from the previous edition, as explained by the Decentralization and Cohesion coordinator, Mary of Lima.

The projects presented by the municipalities must be aimed at promoting and strengthening the value chains of productive sectors within their respective territories. For their part, the municipalities should be focused on promoting new employment opportunities. Their execution will be between 2023 and 2024.

“The bases of the program were sent to each of the municipalities, to the departmental development directorates, to the mayors, to the municipalities, and to the municipal offices,” commented de Lima.
