In the same sense, he spoke of the obstacles that governments are going through in the current system: “We have no illusions. No country can cope alone with today’s systemic threats. A change of mind

In his speech, Lula Da Silva pointed to the most powerful leaders in the world and asked “a change of mindtearing down myths and abandoning paradigms”: “Today’s world lives the overlap of multiple crises: the pandemic of Covid-19climate change, geopolitical tensionsa war in the heart of Europepressures on food and energy security and threats to democracy“.

“It makes no sense to call on emerging countries to help resolve the ‘multiple crises’ facing the world without their legitimate concerns being addressed, and without their being adequately represented in the main bodies of global governance,” he concluded.
