Injured workers had to be rescued from the building shell with a site crane

The man was rescued using rope technology because a rescue via the stairwell, which was still under construction, seemed too dangerous. To support the ambulance crew of the Floridsdorf-Donaustadt Samaritan Association, the rope technology task force and an officer from the Vienna professional rescue service were sent to the scene.

The worker suffered a serious leg injury on the construction site in Donaustadt. After the 33-year-old had been given first aid on the eighth floor and had his pain treated by the paramedics, he was escorted to the ground using the construction site crane, accompanied by a rope technician from the professional rescue service and a height rescuer from the professional fire brigade. Once there, the colleagues from the Samaritan Association took over again and transported the injured person to an accident hospital.
