The 27-year-old has signed in Salzburg until the summer of 2027. “It’s an incredibly nice feeling for me to be returning to Salzburg. I’ve been here my whole youth and already had the goal of playing as a professional at FC Red Bull Salzburg,” Schlager is quoted as saying in a broadcast.

Now he is proud to return. “I was always connected to Red Bull Salzburg, much cooler things could not have happened to me in this situation,” Schlager continued.

“With him we have a strong and experienced goalkeeper in the squad, who should play an important role not only on the field but also in the dressing room,” says sporting director Christoph Freund.

At LASK, Tobias Lawal, who recently moved into the regular eleven, should remain number one.
