At 9:50 p.m., the Pfaffing and Oberalberting fire brigades and the police were called to the scene: a tractor had rolled away and crashed into the clubhouse on the grounds of the tennis club.
At around 9:15 p.m., a 54-year-old farmer parked his tractor in front of the barn on his farm and went into the house. A trailer that was not approved for traffic was attached to the tractor. A short time later, the tractor started moving for an unknown reason, although a gear was engaged and the handbrake was applied.
The vehicle rolled down the slope towards the tennis court. The team hit the wall of the tennis club, went through the wall and came to rest in the building’s shower room.
Six people who were outside the building were very lucky: although the wall of the house was knocked down, nobody was injured.
The clubhouse was severely damaged in the impact. The tractor was also badly damaged. The firefighters supported the building with ceiling supports and closed off the affected area.
