Made from 1008 branded defused rifle cartridges “308 Winchester” the artist Sabine Johanna Wiedenhofer wrote the lettering “NO MORE” designed in the form of a wall sculpture. To do this, the woman from Vienna had unscrewed the primers, removed the gunpowder and anchored the cartridges in pre-drilled acrylic plates.

Wiedenhofer’s artistic outcry against “War, hate, destruction of people & nature, greed, oppression” together with 19 large-format oil works can now be experienced in the LINkZ action space in Linz-Urfahr. Before the opening of the exhibition yesterday, Wiedenhofer painted over a huge banner at a height of 60 meters with the “NO MORE”-Lettering.

With her new works, the artist bids farewell to clear lines and anchored structures and expands her art to include the third dimension. The show can be seen until September 30th. Info: www.aktionsraum-linkz.at
