For reasons that are still unknown, the driver lost control of his vehicle at around 1:20 a.m. The car crashed into a bridge construction site and ended up in a pit on the roof.
The two occupants were able to leave the wreck before rescue workers arrived. They were unharmed in the accident.
The alarmed fire brigades cordoned off the affected section of the route and supported the towing service in salvaging the car. The fire brigades from Langenstein, St. Georgen an der Gusen and Steyregg were in action.
