There are already environmentally conscious residents who cycle to the supermarket on a bicycle with a trunk. “But there can and should be more,” says Deputy Mayor Markus Brandstetter (VP). So the municipality is inviting people to test ride electric cargo bikes, which have been available to rent free of charge for three years, at a construction site festival on the main square on Friday, September 22nd from 3 p.m.

There are two models of wire pack mules with special bodies for freight transport and passenger transport for the whole family: With “Alex” (Riese & Müller Packster model) two children can be transported safely; reservations can be made via www.radverteiler.at or Blumen Habersohn at Wienerstrasse 26. “Ari” (Bullitt model) has a lockable aluminum box and can be picked up from the MakerSpace association at Eggersdorferstrasse 23 by prior arrangement.

With electrical support, the range of the e-cargo bikes is 60 kilometers and they can be loaded with cargo of up to 100 kilograms.
