“Thomas Gottschalk is the sole host of the show”said a ZDF spokeswoman on Tuesday. In August, the broadcaster confirmed the 73-year-old Gottschalk as host in Offenburg, but further details had not yet been announced.
Hunziker no longer there
At that time, however, it became clear that Michelle Hunziker would no longer be there. Gottschalk wrote about her on Instagram: “Some people will see it in my last edition of ‘Wetten, dass..?’ miss and perhaps forget that I was the one who brought her onto the show back then and that the ZDF didn’t put her at my side as a ‘supervising night nurse’ because I didn’t know what was going on anymore. Some suspect so.”
The “Bet that..?”-Live show on November 25th in Offenburg will be the last edition with Thomas Gottschalk. The broadcaster apparently doesn’t want to decide what will happen next with the format until after the broadcast.
