The military intercepted 1.6 tons of drugs off the coast of Mexico

The Mexican military intercepted two boats carrying a large consignment of cocaine in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the country. This is stated on December 5 in the published message of the Ministry of the Naval Forces of Mexico.

It is noted that a total of 1.6 tons of the narcotic substance were found. Seven Mexican citizens were detained and handed over to prosecutors. Charges will be brought against them shortly. According to preliminary data, the transportation of cocaine was organized by one of the Mexican drug cartels.

On October 10, it was reported that police prevented the smuggling of 500 kg of cocaine worth over $ 136 million on the black market in Dubai.

The perpetrator is a citizen of one of the countries of the Middle East. The cocaine was found under the skin of a shipping container arriving at the seaport. The drugs were then to be distributed throughout the country.
