Ulaanbaatar continues to cooperate with NATO, but this is not directed against Russia or China. Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkhiin Battseg stated this in an interview with Izvestia.
“Our cooperation with NATO is based on the common values of peace – democracy, the rule of law and human rights, security, and this is fully consistent with the goals of our multilateral policy, which we pursue in accordance with the concept of Mongolia’s foreign policy. In other words, I want to emphasize: cooperation between Mongolia and NATO is not directed against any state, ”the minister stressed.
She noted that Mongolia’s Individual Partnership and Cooperation Program with NATO was adopted in 2012. Then Mongolia became a partner country of the North Atlantic Alliance.
