Lacalle Pou defended his management and said that the taxes did not go to failed projects

He Republic President, Luis Lacalle Pouonce again defended his management in matters of public works and said that the taxes of the Uruguayans did not end up in “failed projects”, alluding to the previous governments of the Broad Front (FA).

This Monday, within the framework of the inauguration of part of the works on Route 6, the Department of Peachthe president was “calm” about the works that were carried out during the current period.

The inaugurated arrangements on route 6 comprise a 25 kilometer stretch, and include the connection from the Mansavillagra stream bridge to the bypass with route 14, in a work defined by the Minister of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), José Luis Faleroas a “key” to the economy of the Uruguay.

“What is the enormous peace of mind that we have left until today and the next 263 days?” he began by asking those present. On that occasion, the president sent an indirect message to the FA by ensuring that his government placed great “emphasis” on “investing State resources where they are needed and not in crazy stories that take people’s money,” referring to Gas Sayago and to Free Peoples Trainamong other businesses carried out by the State and that were the subject of strong criticism by the ruling party during the previous electoral campaign.
