The White House has prepared a new package of military assistance to Ukraine. This was reported on Friday, January 7, by NBC News, citing sources.
“Administration [президента США Джо] Biden has also prepared a new US military aid package for Ukraine, in addition to US military aid already flowing to Kiev, ”the statement said.
According to the source, Kiev hopes that the administration intends to approve additional assistance.
On December 18, Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov announced the country’s desire to receive not only defensive, but also offensive weapons from its Western partners. He noted that the Ukrainian military will defend themselves with it, the main thing is to get it.
A day earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Ukrainian authorities are fooling their citizens, turning them against Russia. Russian-American talks on strategic stability and security issues will take place on January 10.
