The Supreme Court of Justice issued this Thursday two rulings involving Cristina Kirchner. In one he left firm his dismissal and that of Axel Kicillof in the cause future dollar and, in the other, he ordered that the former president go to oral trial for him Memorandum with Iran.
After a long judicial journey, The case for the Memorandum with Iran will be sent to oral trial signed in 2013 during the last government of Cristina Kirchner. This was decided by the highest court in a ruling signed by Horacio Rosatti, Juan Carlos Maqueda (in a joint vote), Carlos Rosenkrantz and Ricardo Lorenzetti.
Without getting into the underlying issue or evaluating the evidence that exists in the file, The Court ruled out that there was arbitrariness or institutional gravity in the decision made by Cassation. The former president’s defense had argued that the decision was not judicializable.

Dismissal in “future dollar”
In the other cause known as “future dollar”, the Court left firm the dismissal of former president Cristina Kirchner, the then Minister of Economy and today governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, and a group of former public officials. It is the final point of this case.
Once again, the highest court decided not to rule on the underlying issue and left the resolution of the Federal Court of Criminal Cassation firm.
The case had its origin in a complaint made by deputies of the PRO and the UCR which maintained that between August and November 2015 the Central Bank sold “future dollar” contracts at $10.6 and $10.8 per unit to the private sector to be settled between February and June-July 2016. As at that time, the dollar “blue” was priced at 16 pesos, the legislators maintained that this action implied damage to the State.
