They launch an economic support program for the bovine sector with funds from the soybean dollar

Within the framework of the provisions of the decrees that created the Export Increase Fund, Economy launches economic compensation for cattle producers.

The Secretary of Agriculture of the Ministry of Economy created the Argentine Productive Strengthening Program for him bovine sector, which will be financed with funds from the Export Increase Fund, implemented within the framework of the provisions of decrees 576/2022 and 787/2022, which approved the implementation of the soybean dollar. Each beneficiary will receive financial compensation of $5,200 per monthfor a total of four months, for each head of cattle.

The objective of this new program is to assist producers who enter and maintain cattle in the fattening modality for a minimum period of 120 days and, upon completion, within a period of no more than 30 days, send it to slaughter for the domestic market by assigning an economic benefit of up to 100 head. The objective is to ensure the supply of bovine meat for national consumption and contribute to mitigating the impact of increased food costs in its productive sector.

According to Resolution 321/2023 of the Economy, published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, all those producers who are registered in the program may be beneficiaries of the National Sanitary Registry of Agricultural Producers (RENSPA)that have declared as an activity before the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) the “Breeding of Bovine Cattle” in any of its modalities, “Wintering of Bovine Cattle”, “Fattening in Corrals” and / or “Production of bovine milk” and that they register bovine stocks as of December 31, 2022 in the Registry.

The call to interested producers will have a validity of 120 calendar days from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the resolution and the program will have a total attendance quota of 720,000 head of cattle, which will be divided into four partial quotas of 180,000 throughout the validity of the call.
