Cedears: tech giants rose strongly, but Twitter crashed

So much Google and Microsoft posted balance sheets and beat earnings expectations. Google’s advertising revenue increased to $ 53.1 billion during the third quarter. In the case of Microsoft, the company’s income amounted to US $ 45,320 million in that period, compared to US $ 37,150 million the previous year.

In relation to the papers with the highest market share, Coca Cola rose 2.2%, Mercado Libre fell 2.3% and Apple grew 0.08%. Between the Cedears more operated, the biggest setbacks were Visa (-6.3%), the oil company Vista Oil & Gas (-2.5%), and the mining company Vale (-1.7%).

This day was also highlighted by the sharp fall of Twitter that plummeted 10.1%. The company suffered a strong loss of US $ 537 million in the third quarter due to an agreement with its shareholders, but it registered an increase in its advertising billing when other players in the sector suffered.

The social network announced at the end of September the payment of US $ 809.5 million to settle a dispute over the company’s communication at the beginning of 2015, considered misleading by several shareholders who sued the firm in court.

The volume traded at Cedears during the day fell 20% to $ 3.455 million, which represented 67% of that traded in equities.
