On December 10, a colleague of the ex-deputy of the Neklinovsky District Assembly of the Rostov Region Vitaly Latysheva Svetlana Ershova commented on a video in which the politician discusses with his subordinates how to save on food in children’s camps.
According to Ershova, it was allegedly about completely different things. So, she noted that the main topic of the conversation was the observance of sanitary rules. The woman said that according to the norms, “dishes should not be repeated.”
“Basically, they (children. – Ed.) Do not eat up, and they (dishes. – Ed.) Have to be thrown away. There was a meeting with our directors on how to make sure that the kids were full, they had enough energy during the day. Therefore, the conversation was about what was going on: you need to give some kind of pie – that the child ate the pie, and he will be full, ”Ershova said in an interview with Izvestia.
A video recording of a conversation between Latyshev and his subordinates about saving money on meals in children’s camps appeared on the Web earlier in the day. The interlocutors considered the possibility of specifying in the reporting documents that wards from low-income families are fed cutlets, while the dish is present only on the menu. Together with his colleague Svetlana Ershova, Latyshev also discussed the issue of cashing the savings.
Later, the ex-deputy expressed disagreement with the accusations of embezzlement of funds allocated for the food of children in the camps. Latyshev explained that during this conversation he was asked to think about solving the problem of disposing of food that the children allegedly did not eat.
Searches were carried out on Friday in several children’s camps near Rostov. It was noted that the ex-deputy could have appropriated part of the money for the health improvement of children from low-income families. Since 2015, Latyshev’s organizations have received 1 billion rubles from the budget. Previously, 30% of the funds could have been stolen.
On the eve of the head of the Main Directorate of Economic Security and Combating Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Lieutenant General Andrei Kurnosenko, said that in Russia there is an increase in the risk of embezzlement of budget funds in a pandemic. According to him, the spheres of education and healthcare are most susceptible to corruption.
