Two convicts who escaped from the Volgograd colony were detained in the Rostov region. This was announced on Saturday, December 25, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
On the 167th km of the Kotelnikovo – Peschanokopskoye highway, the traffic police stopped a Renault car driven by a driver born in 1993.
“There were also two passengers in the cabin – born in 2002 and 1998. When checking the traffic police bases, the police found that the passengers were on the wanted list for escaping from a correctional institution in the Volgograd region, ”the message says.
It is noted that police officers, together with representatives of the Federal Penitentiary Service, delivered citizens to the police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Salsky district.
The fact that two convicts escaped from the colony-settlement in Volgograd, announced in the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Volgograd region a day earlier.
It was noted that the natives of the Krasnodar Territory who were serving a sentence for theft, 23-year-old Georgy Vyazovikov and 19-year-old Dmitry Korney, turned out to have escaped. They escaped at night.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of the escape.
On December 2, a prisoner escaped from a maximum security colony in the Upravlenchesky village of Samara, who was serving a sentence under the article on theft or extortion of firearms, ammunition or explosives.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation organized a pre-investigation check on the grounds of corpus delicti under Art. 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Negligence”).
