Rescuers found a Mi-2 helicopter that made a hard landing near Izhevsk

The Mi-2 helicopter, which made a hard landing in Udmurtia, was found by rescuers. This was reported on December 27 by the Izvestia correspondent.

The incident with the Mi-2 helicopter took place earlier that day. The Izvestia source said that the aircraft, which made a hard landing near Izhevsk, got into a vortex flow, as a result of which it fell. Two people on board survived.

It is specified that the consequences of the accident were mitigated due to the low altitude at which the helicopter was located and the snow cover.

The regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a Mi-8 helicopter with a paratrooper group took off from Perm to search for an emergency landing site. In addition, unmanned aerial systems of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are involved in search activities.

According to preliminary data from the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the aircraft took off at 12:00 Moscow time from the Izhevsk airfield and circled the oil pipeline. At about 14:00 Moscow time, the Mi-2 helicopter made a hard landing near Izhevsk. A pre-investigation check has begun.

Immediately before the loss of communication with the helicopter, the aircraft commander reported an emergency, the department added. Investigators went to the scene.

The Prime Minister of the Udmurt Republic Yaroslav Semyonov said that three ambulance teams, including resuscitation, medical and paramedic, had left for the hard landing site of the Mi-2 helicopter near Izhevsk.

He confirmed that the helicopter crew was patrolling the main oil pipelines.
