On January 5, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia published a video from the scene of the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma. The video was made in one of the city’s hostels, where the child’s body was found.
The prosecutor’s office of the Kostroma region also said that the men who confessed to the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma had previously been convicted.
Thus, one of the suspects was serving a sentence for committing a crime against sexual inviolability and illegal circulation of pornography. The second suspect was tried for theft. The trial period established by the court has not expired.
“During the inspection, the prosecutor’s office will check the implementation of the legislation on the administrative supervision of persons released from places of detention, as well as compliance with the requirements of the criminal executive legislation,” the ministry said in a statement.
The murder took place on January 4th. According to the investigation, the girl went for a walk on Severnaya Pravda Street, after which she was taken by two men and disappeared with the child in an unknown direction. In the course of operational-search activities, investigators found the body of the deceased with multiple stab wounds in a room of one of the hostels.
As Izvestia found out, 44-year-old Denis G. and 24-year-old Vadim B. abused the child before the murder, after which they hid the child’s body in a sports bag in order to get rid of it later, but were detained by the police before they could anticipate your plan.
The suspects in the murder of the child were detained. They confessed to what they had done. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of the murder under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor”).
The head of the RF IC, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded an operational report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case on the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma.
