Vice President Kamala Harris failed to retain the Latino support that Joe Biden reached in the 2020 elections, according to preliminary results of polls conducted by NBC News. The data reveal a notable decline in support for the Democratic candidate, especially among voters Hispanics and African Americans.

According to the exit poll, the 54% of Latino men supported Republican candidate Donald Trump, while only 44% supported Harrisgenerating a difference of 10 points in favor of the former president. This change contrasts with the results of 2020, when Biden led Trump among Latino men by 23 points (59% to 36%).

Latina voters also showed less support for Harris compared to Biden.
