The situation with the incidence of COVID-19 worsened in 32 regions of Russia

In 32 regions of Russia, the situation with the incidence of COVID-19 has worsened, the operational headquarters for combating coronavirus infection reported on its portal on January 28.

The situation has improved, according to the headquarters, in eight regions: the republics of Adygea and Altai, in the Crimea, in the Yaroslavl, Saratov, Ryazan, Kursk and Irkutsk regions.

The epidemiological situation has worsened, including in the Voronezh, Magadan, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Murmansk regions, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, as well as in the Udmurt Republic.

As the operational headquarters reported on January 28, 14,046 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized in Russia over the past day, 29,506 patients recovered, and 673 people died from the consequences of the disease.

As State Duma deputy Fedot Tumusov noted on January 28, there is no need to introduce a general lockdown in Russia amid the spread of coronavirus, as hospitalization rates remain low.

In the Russian Federation, a large-scale vaccination campaign is underway. Citizens are vaccinated for free. Six vaccines against coronavirus have been registered in the country: Sputnik V, which became the first vaccine against COVID-19 in the Russian Federation and the world, as well as Sputnik Light, Sputnik M, EpiVacCorona, EpiVacCorona-N and KoviVac .
