Julia Klöckner and Matthias Jung had already lined up in front of the press wall to make their statement after the meeting on behalf of their CDU/CSU parliamentary group. They were just starting when suddenly the journalists ran away from them. Robert Habeck had stepped out of the hall.
“I’m almost a bit afraid,” said Habeck, “that the interpretation of what happened here in the last few hours will diverge a bit afterwards.” The Economics Minister had every reason to believe so.
