Last weekend there were racist attacks on schoolchildren from Berlin in a holiday resort in Brandenburg, some of whom had a migration background. State security is now investigating. How are the young people in Berlin after the incident?
Tenth graders from a Kreuzberg school go to Brandenburg. You want to study in a youth hostel for the upcoming final math exam. But then they have to call the police in the middle of the night, pack their bags and leave. Because apparently right-wing young people insult them racially, threaten them, scare them.
There are incidents that are shocking and newsworthy – and don’t even make it into the local paper. Because you want to protect affected children, for example. Or simply because no one turns to the press. Racist threats on school trips or school trips will occur more frequently than is read about them.
