The Bundestag has lifted the immunity of the Landshut FDP politician Nicole Bauer. This means that judicial search and seizure orders against the members of the Bundestag are approved, as the Bundestag announced.
MPs voted unanimously to repeal it. They therefore followed a resolution recommended by the Committee for Election Review, Immunity and Rules of Procedure.
Concrete allegations against Bauer, which led to the immunity being lifted, were not disclosed. Her offices in the Bundestag and constituency could not initially be reached for a statement.
