Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on a year of crisis diplomacy in the Middle East, her best moment in office – and the stability of the traffic light government.
Ms. Baerbock, the Middle East is threatening to go up in flames. The traffic light coalition is facing the final break. And things are going haywire in your Green Party. Which trouble spot are you currently most concerned about?
Of course the international situation. When you travel so much in crisis areas, it sharpens your view of your own country. Despite all the challenges here, what a blessing it is that we live in freedom in Germany. In a welfare state in which it is a given that all children go to school and everyone has health insurance. In a country where we don’t have to worry about our house being hit by a bomb at night.
