The clashes between demonstrators and security forces in Los Angeles stop. Again and again there are violent clashes in the city center, cars burn, the security forces use tear gas and glare grenades.
Donald Trump’s government sends Marines to Los Angeles
Previously, US President Donald Trumps had decided to send 2000 soldiers from the National Guard to the protests in Los Angeles. In the United States, states usually have control over the national guard, which is a military reserve unit and part of the US forces. Their commitment to the President’s command against the will of the state is a massive escalation.
The Pentagon announced on Tuesday night German time, 2000 other national guards, as well as 700 Marines, soldiers of the regular armed forces, to order to Los Angeles.
