Mensur Suljovic successfully played his opening match at the Darts World Cup in London. In the second round, the Viennese celebrated an unchallenged 3-0 victory over the Belgian Mike De Decker. Suljovic put on a solid performance at Alexandra Palace, playing an 88.65 average and posting a 30 percent double quota.
In the next match, the 50-year-old can expect significantly more resistance. After Christmas, the Viennese will have to deal with one of the top favorites. We’re talking about three-time world champion Michael “Mighty Mike” van Gerwen.
The Dutchman also won 3-0 against Welshman Lewy Williams. “Van Gerwen is not my favorite opponent, but I’ve already won against him. I’m counting on something,” said Suljovic.
