“We started really well in the first third and we had really good chances to score. It’s such a shame that we didn’t get the puck in the goal,” Steel Wings coach Matej Hocevar was supposed to say after the game about his team’s initial phase. Third place in the table is required to advance to the pre-playoffs. Next up for Linz is a home game on February 2nd against the Zeller Eisbären. Two days later, the people of Linz received the Sterzing Broncos.
