Settimio Aloisio, who was a representative of Caniggia and Batistuta, died

The death of the former soccer player agent, in the province of Cosenza, occurred during the day on Tuesday and the causes of death have not yet been revealed.

Aloisio was an important man in the representation of soccer players, in the 1980s and 1990s, counting Caniggia and Batistuta among his ranks but, in addition, he was the first to link Diego Armando Maradona with Napoliback in 1978 and when he was the coordinator of the Cebollitas, the famous youth category of Argentinos Juniors.

The Calabrian marked an era as far as agents or representatives of soccer players are concerned since, in his years of activity, this function was not regulated by the FIFA as it has been for several years. He had retired from his “specialty” almost two decades ago in which he knew how to represent, in addition to “Bati” and “Cani”, Pedro Troglio, Diego Cagna and Luis Alberto “Betito” Carranza, among others.
