On Saturday, the second win in the second game after the winter break was achieved in the derby against the amateur team of LASK. Fabian Wimmleitner (12th/penalty) and Tobias Schott (58th) scored for Gurten – and knocked the Black and Whites back from the top of the table after just one game.

There was positive news for Gurten even before the derby: Peter Madritsch has prematurely extended his contract until the summer of 2024 and is entering his sixth season with the third division club. His kickers also played a decisive role in the extra time: “Our two captains Thomas Reiter and Simon Schnaitter approached me and signaled that the team would like to continue working with me,” says Madritsch.

Upper Austrian league team Askö Oedt also started the spring season with two wins. “We will definitely not become champions,” said Oedt President Franz Grad before the start – on Saturday Dietach was shot down 6:2. “We were still in the winter break,” complained Dietach coach Daniel Ruttensteiner after his team’s first game in the second half of the season. FC Wels, on the other hand, was there at its spring start: Adem Acuma scored the 1-0 gold goal in Friedburg in the 95th minute. “A very important victory,” said Neo Wels coach Goran Kartalija.
