Ried was without a win for eight laps before traveling to Altach. The drive home should have been all the nicer. The signs of not being the last to start in the qualifying group seem more than good, as Altach is away to Salzburg on Sunday. With a win followed by a division of points could reed go into the final phase of the season with a two-point lead over the Vorarlbergers – and at the same time catch up with the WAC.

The Carinthian sees Maximilian Senft beaten below their value in the course of the season. “There’s a very strong team coming up reed. We have to be fully convinced of our own idea,” said Ried’s coach. It’s about “bringing a lot of emotion onto the pitch so that we can play this game intensively right to the end”. Arena expects and hopes for the Innviertlers’ first home win since mid-October.
